Our History

One by One Ministries was developed in the mid to late nineties as part of a major strategy planning by one of the major church associations in San Antonio, Texas.  Out of this planning time, a mandate evolved that ministering to families, especially expectant and new parents, would be the top priority for many churches in the city of San Antonio.   To meet this mandate, One by One Ministries was created and was officially incorporated in 1998.  Our organization obtained its 501(c)(3) non-profit status in 2003.  At that time the original board of directors was expanded to include a number of new members.

In the fall of 2004, One by One was awarded a large grant through a Christian Foundation and was able to establish an official office and hire its first full-time employees.  Initial response to One by One Ministries has been very enthusiastic.

The ministry continues to expand and now has begun work in many new churches.  In the ensuing years, One by One has trained mentors, prayer partners, coordinators, church staff, and pregnancy center volunteers in the San Antonio area as well as in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and the City of Memphis.  To date, we have served over 600 families through group events and individual mentoring.

Our past has been marked with God's intervention and direction. We look to a very bright future.  We pray daily for others to catch the vision of One by One as we continue to partner with God in ministry to families...for the sake of a child.
