Why the Need?
A group of Christians founded One by One in San Antonio in the mid-1990s as part of a strategy to minister to families, including mentoring pregnant and new moms. One by One was incorporated in San Antonio in 1998 and received 501(c)(3) status in 2003. San Antonio remains an important area of our ministry.
Texas Statistics:
54% of all pregnancies are unplanned.
42% of births are to single moms.
42% of children in poverty live in single-mother households.
Texas has one of the highest teen birth rates in the country.
About 20% of teen moms have more than one child. Many of these moms are single and without skills to parent well.

San Antonio Ministry Director Michelle Price
Michelle joined One by One Team in 2021. She has a heart for serving woman and seeing them find freedom in Christ. Michelle believes that coming to know the Lord in adulthood has given her a great compassion for the lost and those who are searching. Michelle graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and has worked in women’s ministry and the non-profit sector.
