One by One offers friendship, hope, support, parent education, and the love of Christ to new moms through mentoring.

Many moms come to One by One scared, alone, experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, and unsure what to do next. Some moms come to us because they need a friend or someone outside of family to talk to. Some moms come to us because they feel empty and find themselves longing for the hope only Jesus can provide. Whatever her reason, our goal is to provide a lifeline to each mom - to love and support her, providing hope, encouragement, parent education, and the great news of the Gospel - from the moment she learns she’s pregnant through her baby’s early years.

We train Christian women to serve as volunteer mentors to women who are pregnant or who are brand new moms. We provide each mentor with everything she needs to serve her mom, including lesson plans for every meeting and activities to share with her mom to help her support her baby’s social, language, emotional, and motor skill development. Each lesson plan comes with an accompanying Bible verse for the mentor to share with her mom and prays over her each month.

We provide in-person and virtual mentoring opportunities in English and Spanish.

A mentor will

• Talk/text with her mom weekly and meet with her monthly either in-person or virtually.

• Offer friendship and support without judgment.

• Answer her mom’s questions.

• Share activities and parenting strategies.

• Help her mom capture the story of her child’s early years.

• Steer the mom toward other resources that she might need.

• Share the love and hope found only in Christ Jesus.

• Communicate with One by One to let us know how the match is going.
