Virtual Ministry - How It Works
One by One offers friendship, hope, support, and parent education to new moms through mentoring.
In our regions and communities, moms and mentors generally meet in homes or neutral locations such as coffee shops or libraries.
However, some of our moms have transportation and other issues making it difficult to meet in-person. In addition, we have had requests from moms across the country to participate in our program.
In response, we piloted a virtual ministry in 2022 with six mom/mentor pairs and launched this ministry in 2023.
A virtual mom and mentor pair talk/text weekly and meet monthly; they just meet virtually using a platform such as FaceTime or Zoom that is convenient for both of them.
One by One mails a “Blessing Box” to each mom on a quarterly basis so she has all of the materials she needs for the upcoming three months plus a few “happies” for mom and baby.
